Job Description:
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Calibration Technician, in Torrance, CA.
Pay Rate: $32.84 - $40.43/hr
Job Description:
• Responsible for calibration scheduling, execution, and maintenance of lab equipment.
• Acts as an interface between engineering and operations, ensuring all equipment remains calibrated and operational for engineering needs.
• Maintains records and schedules in Excel and Oracle systems for calibration and maintenance activities.
• Performs on-site calibrations for certain equipment and coordinates with external vendors for others.

Key Responsibilities
• Calibration & Maintenance:
o Perform calibrations on hand tools (e.g., click wrenches) and certain RF equipment.
o Schedule and execute maintenance activities for power meters, power supplies, and other lab equipment.
o Monitor and coordinate monthly cadence for external vendors performing calibrations on items like oscilloscopes and RF switches.
• Record Keeping & Systems Management:
o Maintain accurate calibration schedules and records in Excel and Oracle.
o Track over 1,000 items requiring calibration and maintenance (some maintenance done in house some using vendors).
• Lab Management:
o Ensure compliance with cleanliness standards (5S) and maintain organized lab environment.
o Schedule equipment shutdowns and operational timelines.
• Compliance & Standards:
o Familiarity with ESD standards; ability to recommend improvements.
• Technical Skills:
o RF testing experience required.
o Strong computer skills and ability to interface with systems.
o Knowledge of calibration tooling and processes.
• Vendor Management:
o Monitor and manage external calibration vendors.
