PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector ll, in Tallassee, AL. Job ID#219061
Job Description:
Performs diversified and complex tasks associated with visual and dimensional inspection tasks, from first article through final inspection, required in the fabrication and development of composite components and assemblies, bonded parts and other miscellaneous accessories.
Key Responsibilities
Before usage, ensure that all inspection tools are within calibration date and being used at tolerance requirements by comparing to instructions and specifications.
Inspect, or measure, products, installations, or work for conformance to specification using precision tools.
Mark items with either a pass or fail rating per specific area with appropriate marking material.
Determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required by reading blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials.
Reject products, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications by generating non-conformance report and moving to quarantine area.
Confirm that materials match purchase orders by checking arriving materials and submitting discrepancy reports as necessary.
Monitor machines that automatically measure, sort, or inspect products by validating to specifications or requirements.
Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems by email, hand back document or verbal communication.
Ensure that the part or detail conforms to the AS9102 requirements by performing First Article Inspection (FAI).
Perform internal audit and if there are any findings, generate corrective action report (CAR) using TIP QA software,
Position products, components, or parts for testing by lifting or using transporter carts.
Record inspection or test data such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content and quantities inspected or graded by either recording in a written or online log.
Stack or arrange tested products for further processing by wrapping according to requirements and placing in the assigned location.
Scan information into appropriate systems by operating hand held bar code scanner.

Education
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* 3-5 years' work experience in a manufacturing setting operating CNC and manual machine tools required.
